Carglass Honda, MXGP rider Ander Valentin won the first round in the Spanish MX championship. He finished in front of two other strong MXGP riders.

In the MX1 race, it was Jose Butron who won an entertaining first race. There was under three seconds that separated the first three riders in the class. Ander Valentin has clearly been putting the hard work in over winter on his Honda as he gave Butron a good run for his money but just came up short. The first three ran away with the lead with over a minute ahead of the fourth place rider, Francesc Mataro.

After a near win in the first moto, Ander Valentin didn’t disappoint in the second moto and he grabbed victory and took the overall win! He rode brilliant and beat Butron by just a half a second. Talk about close! Harri Kullas was a distant third but that secured a third overall on the day.

MX1 Overall:

1 Ander Valentin — Spain

2 Jose Butron — Spain

3 Harri Kullas — Finland
